Charity Group Cruise for 501(c)(3)
non-profit organizations
Does your organization qualify? Use this checklist to find out.
- Support environmental, health-related, cultural arts, education or maritime causes (exceptions will be considered)
- Have a signed agreement with the travel agency booking the group cruise.
- The letter must be written on the charity letterhead and state the charity's 501(c) organization number
How a charity benefits from a group cruise:
- The cruise line provides a list of dates & itineraries for the charity to choose from.
- The agency and cruise line along with the charity will develop a flyer/add approved by all parties
- Copies will be made at the expense of the agency and cruise line
- Cruise Planners & the cruise line chosen will pay all postage fees (for up to 1000 pieces)
- Foundation mailing list is not surrendered to Cruise Planners or the cruise line
- The foundation must book a minimum of 10 cabins per cruise to receive the donation.
- The foundation’s chief executive officer and director of special projects may serve as escorts.
- A travel agent from our office can also accompany the group (special conditions apply)
- All earned stateroom credits are donated to the foundation to be used for a raffle drawing and/or auction items.
- The Foundation promotes these cruises in its newsletter to donors and via direct mail to its top donors
- The foundation cruise gets posted on the Cruise Planner agent’s website
- The cruises benefit both the community and the charity
